Use of collected personal data
Statistics and audience measurement
The website has no third-party trackers, and uses Matomo (formerly Piwik) to follow its visitors. It is one of the few websites to have received permission from the CNIL (in August 2018).
Matomo is executed by the same web host as the main website, and no data about audience or visits are shared with third parties. IP addresses are made anonymous and you can disable Matomo on your browser if you so wish. Audience measurement serves only to help me better identify the subjects that you are interested in and to improve my website.
Contact form
The data sent using the contact form are used for the sole purpose of replying to you.
Newsletter
The data collected are not forwarded to third parties. You will find an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on my website, you will be invited to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is solely for your own comfort, so that you do not have to enter this information at a later stage. These cookies expire after one year.
If you have an account and you log on to the website, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain personal data and will be automatically deleted once you have closed your browser.
When you log on, a certain number of cookies will be present to save your log-in and screen preferences. A log-in cookie lasts two days, and a screen preference cookie, one year. If you check the ”Remember me” box, your log-in cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the log-in cookie will be deleted.
An additional cookie will be saved in your browser if you modify or publish an article. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It simply indicates the ID of the article that you have modified, and will expire after one day.
Content transferred from other websites
The articles on this website may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Content embedded from other websites is displayed in the same way as if the visitor went to the other website.

www.callizia.com does not include any advertising, and systematically refuses sponsored articles and advertorials.
Security logs
Visitors’ IP addresses, the identifiers of connected users and usernames of login attempts are conditionally recorded in order to verify malicious activity and protect the website from specific types of attack. Examples of such conditions during logging are login attempts, logout requests, requests from suspicious URLs, modifications made to website content and password updates. Such data are kept for 14 days.
Use and transmission of your personal data
Data storage period
If you leave a comment, this comment and its metadata will be kept indefinitely. This enables the subsequent comments to be recognised and automatically approved, instead of being sent to the moderator.
I also store the personal data of users who subscribe to my website (if possible). All users can see, modify or delete their personal data at any time (except their user name). The website managers can also see and modify such data.
Data-related rights
If you have an account or if you have left comments on this website, you can ask me to send you a file containing all the personal data I have collected about you, including that which you have given me. You can also request that your personal data be deleted. This does not cover the data stored for administrative, legal or security-related reasons.
Transmission of your personal data
The comments of visitors may be checked using an automated service to detect undesirable comments.
Disclosure to third parties
I do not buy, exchange or transmit your identifiable personal data to third parties. This does not include the trustworthy third parties such as those who help me to run my website or do business, as long as they agree to keep such data confidential.
I feel it is necessary to share information in order to make inquiries, prevent or take action regarding illegal activity, presumed fraud, situations presenting a potential threat to the physical security of persons, a breach of our conditions of use or when I am obliged by law.

I implement a range of security measures in order to keep your personal data safe. I use HTTP encryption to protect any sensitive information shared online. I also protect your data offline. Identifiable personal data is only accessible by employees needing to do a specific job. The computers and servers used to store identifiable personal data are kept in a secure environment.

I use the email address that you provide me with, to send you news from time to time. If you wish to unsubscribe and no longer receive such emails, at any time, you will find detailed instructions on how to do this at the bottom of each email.
